Meet Our Team

Meet Mike & Monika

Mike and Monika got up every day at 4 a.m. and packed boxed lunches at the start of their restaurant management career. Five years ago, they decided to take the leap and pursue their dream of owning their own restaurant. Together, they bought a food truck while living in Florida. No other food trucks at the time were serving fresh, homemade meals – and none were serving authentic Italian food! Using Mikes’ grandmother’s recipes and only the best ingredients, their food truck business became an instant success. Soon, the couple was spending most days in their food truck and even started catering special events.

With the success of their food trucks, Mike and Monkia finally decided that it was the time to move back home and open their own restaurant. In the fall of 2015, Mike and Monika found the historic Jennings House in Ravenna, fell in love and knew that restaurant ownership was just around the corner. Mike and Monika worked for months to prepare for their grand opening. Together the couple redecorated the space and hand-picked their staff and taught a team of expert chefs how to recreate the family recipes. The couple has grown their team to a full staff of 25.

Upon opening its doors in early 2016, Delciello’s Ristorante & Lounge became a new staple in the Ravenna community. Mike and Monika attribute their success to a great team, dedication to great food and support from friends and family. Happy to see their dream finally come to fruition they look forward to a long career owning and operating Delciello’s in Ravenna.

Plans to Expand

Since opening in January 2016, much like Mike and Monika’s food truck business, Delciello’s Ristorante & Lounge has been a huge success and already has plans to expand! Delciello’s will begin offering breakfast in May. They also plan to renovate the front of their restaurant to add a patio for outside, café style dining. And to honor Monika’s German heritage, eventually the couple wants to expand and turn their back patio into a full Beer Garden and offer a large array of German cuisine like sauerbraten, wienerschnitzel, rouladen, red cabbage with apples and German potato salad!
